6K Seamless Gutters
This gutter, commonly referred to as “oversized gutter” and is the most popular in the Northwest. It is very popular with larger homes and serves as a perfect replacement to the fascia style gutter. This style is formed from a 15″ coil and typically produces a profile of 5 1/4″ back with a 4 1/2″ bottom and granting a 6″ opening for rain and debris collection. This gutter does not have a lip on the back and therefore sits behind flashing to ensure there is not wick-back from the rain falling into the gutter. The advantage to the K style gutter is that it can be manipulated very easily to direct the flow of water to the downspout. With the wider opening and much wider bottom, this gutter is most commonly installed with a 3″x4″ outlet and the 3″x4″ corrugated downspout. This wider profile means you will spend less time cleaning your outlets, the gutters are easier to clean when you can fit both hands in the gutter, and they simply function better. The unique feature about this style of gutter is that it can fully accommodate any style of downspout. 3″x4″ corrugated downspouts are sometimes an upsell for the 5K gutter but can only be installed one direction. There are no limitations with the 6K gutter due to its 4 1/2″ bottom. Armadas Exterior will always suggest this profile of gutter with one of our roofing replacements. While it is fabricated from the same coil as the Fascia Profile it serves a significant upgrade at no additional cost.
